My chinese roots are showing.....

When I get my off days, I always leave my room tv on so that it won`t be so quiet. If they happen to show music videos, I`ll happily watch. Chanced upon some chinese music videos & the tunes were kinda catchy. Don`t understand a single word tho. I managed to find them at my fav pasar mlm. Here are some nice ones I bought: Nicholas, Tanya & Soler. The best songs belong to Nicholas, didn`t think that his songs could be that catchy but they are. Soler sings in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Tanya...well, she`s a bit of a letdown.
I`ve got a good friend in KK who is Kadazan. He just told me yesterday that he`s taking up mandarin lessons. Wah. Apparently the biggest obstacle is being able to decipher the 4 different tones. I`m always in awe of folks who make the effort to learn new skills etc. As for me, I`m just happy being what or where I am.
