The place looks more or less the same from the last time I visited except for this building. It` s a new multi-level carpark......I think i read somewhere that it`s not really used coz of the narrow lanes & small parking lots.
As usual, as soon as I reached Camerons, i went straight to book the room at the local B & B...we got one for rm45....2 double beds ! what laa....we only need 2 single beds...this time round, the hot water was not limited to how much water was stored in the water tank. I remembered screaming when I got hit by a blast of icy cold water in the midst of showering last time. Brrrr......
The pasar malam has been moved from Brinchang town itself to a lil` higher up, near some Government flats otw to Equatorial hotel. It`s much bigger than before but basically sells the same stuff....fresh flowers, fruits, strawberries, foodstuff, cactus.....new things to me were the crunchy fried vegetables & mushroom plus the dried strawberries. Yummeee.
The best thing to buy & eat there is the jagung. They have this special corn which basically can be eaten raw.....the corn itself is white/yellow in colour & there are 3 grades...it`s either 3/4/5 for rm10. Very sweet.
Another place to try is the T-shop which basically sells scrumptious food. I love the scones there...rm2.30 each, baked fresh everyday, served with home-made strawberry jam. It is next to Marrybown. Take the small creaky staircase up.
