Another day in Paradise..........

I`m only working 3 days this week. Wheeeeeeee ! I pity the fellas who have to work even on public holidays for some dept in the banks, or even other banks. Heheh.

What`s in store fopr the weekend & holidays ? Quite a lot but not all is fun......gotta be a chauffeur for a penang friend who has to settle his house`s legal fees etc. Then gotta pay for my Dad`s eye operation at UH by Friday.....what else....a movie date tonite....think we`ll catch Blood diamond or mebbe The Tin Mine at Mid-v. Sat, most probably will be jln-2 ing at Ikea...waste of petrol & time since I can`t afford to buy anything right now. Sigh, but a friend wants to go. It`s strange that some folks only get up at noon on public holidays & weekends. Don`t they get dizzy from the heat by then ? E....unless I`m out til 3 or 4 a.m., I`m usually up by 9 a.m.

Got a wedding to attend on Sunday. The rest of the time will be spent painting my room ( the thot of it makes me tired already ! ) and catching up on some dvds & my plants.

that reminds...this joker ex-staff is still holding on to my Underworld DVD despite sms and emails..what a thief....sheesh......I could go & buy another for rm8 but well, can`t find it anymore at the shops.....

Tupperware.........

I was looking for our un-used Tupperware stuff at home & surprised to find that we have quite a lot of stock in the house....actually worth thousands ! If it were sold at the original price laa.....but Mum decided to sell it off very very cheap...like 70% off. Some were awesome creations, some were just normal stuff. My brother used to work for Tupperware & bought quite a lot of stuff home when he was there. We are just passing on the discounts to others now...and clearing away our stock lah....

Perfume Generics

One would think that after getting a fat generous bonus , I`d be able to afford some genuine perfume rite ? Wrong ! heheh. The truth is I owe quite a bit for my credit card & after paying it off, there really wasn`t much left over.

But I still want to smell good. So how ? Looking for alternative perfume is easy nowadays especially with the brand Generics around at Guardian outlets. It retails for rm12 per 50ml bottle.

How good is the stuff ? Well, I sprayed some Generic`s CK1 on meself on Friday last before meeting up with a friend who sells CK perfumes for a living. I asked him to take a good whiff & he asked me point-blank ` eh, you bought a new bottle of CK1 but not from me?`. I then told him it wasn`t original but he still didn`t believe me until I showed him the bottle.

See ? It`s good.

I also tried their version of Sunflowers...not bad, so I got me Mum a bottle of that. Lovely ! I do acknowledge that some of their concoctions aren`t really up to mark i.e. Davidoff Coolwater, Eternity but when it hits the bull`s eye, it`s good.

The perfume itself is made in France. Go try & see & save some money.

Bluetooth

Interesting remark from my RAV4 website :

"Car thieves have bluetooth devices which look for other bluetooth devices left in your car like the tomtom navigator or a mobile with bluetooth enabled. Although the device is hidden in a glove box or whatever, they know a device is in the car and will stop at nothing to get it"

I guess that`s how thieves KNOW your laptop is hidden in your boot.

Ace hardware

I rushed off on Sat morn a lil` late to Mid-V....the Ace hardware outlet there had a sale for selected paints.....I bought 3 tins of 5litre paints......all for about rm100. Got a discount of 50% of more for each. The one which I really wanted was this timbertone paint for doors....looks ok or not ? The door used to be freaking white. Now it looks like an actual door. I kinda messed up the painting but it still looks decent..camera phone & fluorescent lite does not do it justice. This weekend I hope to do up my own room...the rest of the house has already been painted a few months ago...all self-service.

A friend invited me to accompany her to Sg Buloh on Sunday.....I didn`t buy anything but here`s some photos of interesting plants foulnd there rite now for the CNY season.....

Pathfinder....

Last nite, being Wednesday, was movie nite. My regular movie kaki wasn`t free, so option no.2 was another friend from sunway area. I initially wanted to watch Berbagi Suami but it`s now sadly showing on limited times i.e. 11:50 a.m. & 5:45p.m....aiya. So had to look for other options. Surprisingly, there are a couple of good movies around i.e Blood Diamond, The Return & Pathfinder. Of the 3, Blood D got the best review from the local dailies but I wasn`t ready to see Black folks being brutalised so I went for Pathfinder, the story of Vikings vs Red Indians. It was good, a bit savage. Kinda like Rocky takes on Predator in a jungle environment.

As our bonus is quite generous this time round, I also took time to shop around & look see some things to buy for myself...heehee.

My wishlist :

DVD player ( rm300 )
New mattress ( rm400)
sk11 skincare ( gosh, this is bloody expensive ! )

It`s been so long...........

I been so busy lately that I haven`t had the tine to post anything here. Well, the latest news to bring joy to my life...Adibah Noor won last nite in Juara Lagu 2007.....her song `Terlalu Istimewa` sounded even better life as she tarik-ed her fab voice. The studio recording sounded mundane in comparison.

2007 started with a bang......somewhere in my car engine ! Heheh, it was an oil leak in 2 places. My mistake for bringing it to the neighbourhood mechanic. All in all, he took 2 weeks to finish the job. Meanwhile I was driving his Ssangyong Musso, that smelly monster 4WD. Yuks....the car came back with 2 dents, scratch marks in so many places I can`t even write it down & numerous wiring errors.

In the end, I took it to a Toyota specialist & it`s almost ok...my `turbo` booster feature no longer works....I don`t think it will ever again. Sigh...

Other than that, life is fine. Bonus should be in this week. As it is, I owe quite a bit for credit card. Spend spend spend.
